Roman Parkhomenko is a composer. 

He is the winner of 12 national and international composer competitions, including the New Music Generation (KZ), Open Space competition (RU), Novalis Competition (HR), Score Follower (US).

Since 2020 - coordinator of the reMusik.org - OpenCalls and Composition Course reMusik.org (RU).

Since  2022 - coordinator of the International Young Composers Academy in Tchaikovsky city (RU). 

Since 2022 - curator of the Synesthesia Lab (RU).

His music has been performed in cities of Russia, Italy, France, Austria, Switzerland, Spain, USA, Cyprus, Germany, Lithuania, Israel and Greece at such international festivals as IRCAM ManiFeste-2022 (FR), Impus (AUT), CEME 2023 (ISR), Festival Mixtur (ESP), reMusik.org (RU), CEME 2020 (ISR), Novalis (HR), IlSuono Contemporary Music Week (IT), Biomechanics Multimedia Festival (RU), Felicja Blumental Festival (ISR), Europe-Asia (RU), ContComp (ISR).

Among the performers of his music: Ensemble Intercontemporain (FR), Divertimento Ensemble (IT), Meitar Ensemble, Ensemble SEV (ISR), Ensemble Suono Giallo, MotoContrario Ensemble (IT), Cologne Guitar Quartet (Germany), Moscow Contemporary Music Ensemble, Studio for New Music, ensemble “Russia”, GAMEnsemble, Pro-Music Orchestra, La Gol, Kazan Conservatory Symphony Orchestra, Novosibirsk Youth Orchestra (RU).

Roman Parkhomenko is a composer of the electroacoustic science opera DIVE, which premiered at the New Opera Moscow Theater (2021).

Roman Parkhomenko is an active participant in composing academies, workshops, seminars and residencies in Russia, France, Italy, Croatia, Austria, Switzerland, Spain, USA, Cyprus, Lithuania, Israel, Greece.

He is a invited resident of the Brush Creek Foundation For the Arts (US), Playa Residency (US), Peredelkino (RU), GES-2 (RU).

The Ensemble Intercontemporain conducted by Jean Deroyer performed the world premiere of his piece Elements at the IRCAM ManiFeste-2022
