The Sofia Gubaidulina Center for Contemporary Music is pleased to present a Synesthesia Composition Workshop 2023 within the framework of the Synesthesia Contemporary Art Lab (curator - Roman Parkhomenko)!
The project is carried out jointly with the Moscow Contemporary Music Ensemble and Composers Union of Russia from April 25-28 in Kazan city.
This project provides an opportunity for the deepest immersion in the process of creating a new piece: from a sketch, working with musicians in 2 reading sessions to the world premiere of the finished composition!

The World Premieres of the pieces by the participants will be performed in October 2023 at the Sounding House of Sofia festival (Kazan, Russia) by the
Moscow Contemporary Music Ensemble!
Individual lessons and lectures with young composers will also be in the process of working on the new pieces.
Reading sessions are expected to have a free format of communication. The composer can present the composition in any form: finished score, sketch, graphic image, etc. At the request of the participant, it is possible to work with each performer individually to clarify the aspects necessary for the composer.
